The City of La Puente is committed to building attractive neighborhoods and providing its residents with quality living conditions. In support of this objective, the City has initiated the Housing Rehabilitation Program. This program offers grants and deferred loans to improve the exterior and interior of homes occupied by low-income residents. Assistance is offered in two ways:
Deferred Loan Program - The City offers a deferred loan for owner-occupied homes up to a maximum of $37,790. This loan is offered at a 0% interest rate.
Grant Program - A $7,000 grant is offered for owner-occupied homes with or without a deferred loan. This is an outright grant of money, no reimbursement is required.
