La Puente's 2017 Assessed Valuation up 5.4%
City Manager David Carmany announced today that the City’s assessed valuation rose 5.4% in a single year.
La Puente has 6,917 single family residential properties, 230 residential income properties, and 436 commercial-industrial properties. Total assessed valuation in 2017 was 2.21 billion, up some 5.4% from the 2016 assessed valuation of 2.09 billion.
This represents strong economic growth and a record-setting increase in the value of taxable property. La Puente receives a portion of the property tax, and relies on this revenue to fund essential local public services.
